Abar Hawa Bodol (transl. The Winds Change Again) is a 2026 Indian Bengali comedy film and a sequel to the 2013 film Hawa Bodol. Directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay and written by Pavel, it was produced by Ashok Dhanuka and Himanshu Dhanuka under Eskay Movies. The lead cast includes Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Rudranil Ghosh, Raima Sen, and Anusha Viswanathan. The film was released in theatres on 12 June 2026 and received mixed reviews.
The story takes place more than a decade after the first film. Jeet, now living in London, is dealing with a broken marriage and a life off course, while Raj has become a successful rockstar. When the two childhood friends reunite, they are caught in another body-swapping incident, which affects their personal and professional lives.
Parambrata Chatterjee plays Satrajit, known as Jeet, an NRI. Rudranil Ghosh portrays Rajarshi, or Raj, a rockstar. Raima Sen appears as Tanuka, Jeet’s wife, and Anusha Viswanathan plays Kajallata, a punk rockstar and Raj’s partner. Kabir Bhattacharya plays Tejo, Jeet and Tanuka’s son, and Chanchal Ghosh plays Jayanta, Raj’s manager. Aritra Sen makes a cameo appearance as Osman Bhai.
Eskay Movies announced the film on 11 November 2024. Parambrata Chattopadhyay said development was delayed for years because the original creative team had moved abroad. The project was revived after discussions with Rudranil Ghosh in 2019, leading to Eskay Movies commissioning the film. The story is set thirteen years after the first film. Parambrata Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, and Raima Sen reprised their roles, while Anusha Viswanathan was cast in a key part. Pavel wrote the screenplay, marking his second collaboration with Parambrata Chattopadhyay after Shonar Pahar (2018).
Principal photography took place in London. Indraadip Dasgupta composed the music, with lyrics by Barish. The first single, "E Jibon," was released on 15 May 2026. The second song, "Dekhas Naa Bhoy Please," came out on 23 May 2026, and the third, "Swapno Dekhar Din Aaj," on 7 June 2026. Prosenjit Chowdhury handled cinematography, and Sumit did the editing.
The teaser was released on 5 May 2026, and the trailer on 30 May 2026. The trailer premiered at PVR INOX in South City Mall, Kolkata, with prominent figures from the Bengali film industry in attendance. As part of the marketing campaign, Bisleri International released limited-edition water
